Spellbinders | May 2024 Stitching Die of the Month - Stitched Pineapple

Today's card features the May 2024 Stitching Die of the Month from Spellbinders. I combined the "Stitched Pineapple" with a glimmer sentiment from Curved Everyday Sentiments and the Peppermint Stripes Embossing Folder which I've had on my wishlist forever and finally added to my collection. Club Kits close on the 27th of each month so get them while you can!

I love this adorable, layered Stitched Pineapple and was excited to put it together! First, I chose my colour palette which consists of Purple Mist for the dry embossed background, Lilac Blossom and Royal Amethyst for the pineapple base, and Peridot, Rainforest and Fern for the leaves.

I cut two layers each of Lilac Blossom and Royal Amethyst for the pineapple base and glued them together before stitching. The sturdiness made it much easier to stitch with DMC Light Gold Metallic Thread.

After glueing the leafy layers together, I also cut the largest piece from Mirror Gold cardstock and added it to the back for extra gold highlights. Next, I foiled the summertime sentiment from Curved Everyday Sentiments on white cardstock using Gold Hot Foil. To finish, I embellished the card with a few gold pearls.
