Sending Smiles

I love playing with my Hero Arts stamps but I also love Amber Ink's iPaper and The Twinery baker's twine. This card features all of these crafty desserts! Just like this card from two days ago, I created a background using the dandelion (starburst) from Sending Smiles Messages. This version matched Amber Ink's Bubble Fizz-Yellow iPaper so perfectly that I stamped the outline Friendly Flags on it. I cut them out and adhered them to the card base with dimensionals. I finished by adding baker's twine along the top of the flags and tying two bows on the ends.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge #1: Go-To Sentiment Card

At the start of Papertrey Ink's fourth anniversary celebrations, Nichole Heady introduced Make It Mondays which included an inspirational video tutorial by Erin Lincoln. She inspired us to make a card using repeating sentiments and here's mine. I started by stamping a sentiment from Enjoy the Ride at the very bottom of the card base and cut out the olive and white mats. I stamped the flourish followed by sentiments from Masculine Motifs and Birthday Basics along the curves. Then I die cut the car, inked it and cut out the window. I mapped out where the stars would show through the window, stamped them and popped the car on with dimensionals.

Have you already played along or do you plan to? You have until Monday, February 14th to enter for a chance to win a $250 gift certificate!

I've been meaning to try this simple frame tutorial by Birgit Edblom for the longest time and finally came up with what I think is the perfect scene for it. This gave me the opportunity to ink up My Dear and use a sentiment from the Loolah Collection. While creating the frame, I stamped on the frame itself before adhering it in place. For the centre, I stamped the large rose in pink before stamping the cyclist and sentiment in navy. The lovely vines that are wrapped around the edges of the white frame is the same image stamped in white on the navy card base. I love this navy and pink combination and will certainly be using it again!
