{Paper Smooches} I Wooly Love You

Today was International Day of Pink and all of the kids wore pink to school to support diversity and raise awareness to stop discrimination, gender-based bullying, homophobia and transphobia. You can read the story behind the Day of Pink HERE. I was inspired to create this cute card for Kim's birthday next week!

I used Positive Strokes Two and three shades of distress inks to create the background, which I splattered with water and shimmer spritz. Once the sentiment was stamped with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, I splattered the panel with black colour shine and set it aside to dry.

The critters are all from the cutest stamp set called Courteous Cuties. I again stamped them with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a brush and distress inks to watercolour the images, then die cut them with their coordinating Courteous Cuties Icons dies. To finish, I adhered the lamb and bear with foam tape and the bees with mini glue dots.

For the panel of patterned paper that peeks out from either side of the watercolour panel, I used a retired Seven Paper 6x6 paper pad called Amelia. I've linked to a newer paper pad below, if you're looking for one with comparable colours.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
