{Technique Tuesday} October 2018 Release Countdown: Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of Technique Tuesday's October 2018 Release Countdown! The design team is featuring a variety of release products and you're sure to love them so be sure to head over to the Technique Tuesday blog for the full reveal and links to all of the amazing projects. All of the product links will go live on October 1, 2018 for your shopping pleasure.

Today, I'm showcasing the String of Lights stamp set, which is an adorable 3" x 4" stamp set that consists of two stamps and five awesome sentiments. It's small but goes a long way! I stamped the string of lights five times on an angle using my MISTI stamping tool.

I coloured the lights with Copic markers, using three shades of each colour, and adding a very light fourth colour on the outside to give them a "glow". I stamped the sentiment using ombre neon red to purple ink and framed it using the Things Change stamp set and the Captions and Labels Dies.

I layered the String of Lights panel with a vellum layer and I also used the Mandala Maker Die to dry emboss the corners on the linen base panel for a lovely texture. To finish, I brushed the lights with Wink of Stella and added July Crystals to the red lights.

See you tomorrow for Day 2 of the October Release Countdown!

Love the colours and your shading of the lights! Such a great idea to add texture to the card base, too.
