{Catherine Pooler Designs} Storybook Collection Release Day Instagram Hop + Giveaways!

There's a wonderful Insta Hop taking place today through May 18, 2019 to celebrate the release of Catherine Pooler's Storybook Collection! This blog post is just a reference point for photos and shop links. All of the action is taking place on Instagram - including likes, comments, tags and eligibility for prizes - so be sure to start at Catherine Pooler's Instagram account for all the details. Hop along on Instagram and leave a comment for your chance to win one of TWO $25 gift certificates to the Catherine Pooler Store!

I apologize in advance for the photo-heavy post but I love these new products so much, I wanted to make sure you get the best views. LOL This first card features Forest Foliage and the four new ink colours - Rouge, Lemongrass, Sage and Queen for a Day.

Using Catherine Pooler's premium white cardstock, I stamped six of the eight leafy images from this set in all four colours and die cut them. Then I arranged them in a wild growth from the bottom of the card.

After determining colour order and leaf shapes, I set them aside and stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink. I adhered the leaves to the card base and trimmed the overhanging pieces.

I also stamped the little ladybug in Rouge and Midnight, die cut it and adhered it to the Lemongrass plant. Then I adhered both panels to the card base.

I'm so in love with the birds from Fluttering Friends and you'll see more of this set on Friday's Video Hop! For now, I'm sharing a beautiful one-layer card that was a lot of fun to stamp in my MISTI stamping tool.

I used two of the new colours - Rouge and Lemongrass - with two older colours - Mint To Be and Aquatini. I cut a 5.5" x 8.5" panel and stamped the rows of birds on the big panel.

When I'm creating a big pattern (aka my own patterned paper), I like to do this so I can trim out the exact portion I want. That way, the images are centred on the trimmed panel.

I love the way the two new colours look with the old ones. I didn't want to cover up the stamped birds so I die cut a piece of vellum using the biggest die from Lovely Flowers and Banners and heat embossed the sentiment.

After wrapping it around the edge of the panel, I trimmed a small piece of black glitter cardstock to anchor the sentiment and vellum.

Which card do you like better? I asked my son and he picked the bird card first but then he changed his mind to the foliage card. In the end, he decided that he likes both cards equally. ;)

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today! See you again on Friday for the Storybook Collection Video Hop!
