Taylored Expressions has just released seven new ink and cardstock colours and you're going to love them! They're fabulous additions to the entire colour collection and they look amazing together and mixed with existing colours.
In this video, I used the Create-in-Quads Hexagon Layering Stencil with Rose Water, Passion Fruit, Macaron and Tropical Punch inks. I enjoy having and highly recommend both the full size ink pads and ink cubes because they're great for different purposes and you can get everything in the I Want It All Ink & Cardstock Bundle.
After creating the four quad panels and trimming them down to 4" x 5.25", I stamped out On the Block - Love with Passion Fruit ink, On the Block - Dad with Tropical Punch ink and On the Block - Cool with Rose Water ink.
For the first card, I also used the coordinating shadow dies cut from silver glitter cardstock and adhered them to the back of the block words. I used an additional sentiment from Building Blocks - Love Additions which was already in my Simple Storage for Building Blocks stash. I centred the entire sentiment on a panel of vellum cut with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets.
For my second card, I used the Rays Pierce & Cut Plate over the stencilled panel and absolutely love the effect. I definitely need to make a habit of this! The sentiment from Oh My Word - Happy Birthday was heat embossed with silver tinsel embossing powder on Tropical Punch cardstock and layered on a vellum shadow. Then the panel was attached to a Rose Water card base.
The scripted 'birthday' was popped up on foam strips but the individual 'happy' letters were glued directly onto the panel. I placed the sentiment too low on the background so I placed more silver drip drops at the top of the panel in order to balance out the space.
This third design is my favourite of the bunch. I just love the way On the Block - Cool looks stamped with Rose Water ink. The shadow layer was cut from Passion Fruit cardstock. The secondary sentiment from Building Blocks - Cool Additions was also taken from my Simple Storage for Building Blocks stash.
I used the Happy Hex Dies, originally from the Happy Hex Monogram Card Kit, cutting them from silver glitter cardstock and glueing them on several of the stencilled hexagons. I attached the panel to a Sugar Cube card base and popped on the sentiment pieces with foam strips.
My fourth and final card features On the Block - Dad stamped with Tropical Punch ink and heat embossed with two layers of sparkle embossing powder for maximum sparkle. The secondary sentiments are from Mini Strips - You're the Best and they were heat embossed with silver tinsel embossing powder on Oreo cardstock.
Thanks so much for watching!
