Today, I'm sharing a card using Spellbinders December 2023 Stitching Die of the Month called "Stitched Love"! This month's theme is geared toward love and Valentine's or Galentine's Day and it's really beautiful. Just like last month, there's a floral theme but these kits take florals to the next level. The first thing I did was pick a colour palette and the four main colours are Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Sweet Potato Pie and Salt Water Taffy. Other neutrals and accent colours included in these cards are white woodgrain, silver thread and silver gems.
I cut the scalloped card base from white woodgrain cardstock, then cut out all of the individual pieces from Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Sweet Potato Pie and Salt Water Taffy cardstock.
I arranged all the pieces on the card base before stitching with D168 Light Silver embroidery floss on the sentiment and coordinating threads from the DMC Color Essentials Floss Bundle Warm 10-Pack on the other flowers.
After the sentiment and flowers were all stitched, I glued them on to their respective Salt Water Taffy bases, and all of the pieces on to the woodgrain card base. To finish, I embellished the orange flowers with silver gems.
