I'm thrilled to be a guest designer for Muse: ChristmasVisions #113! Our theme this week is botanicals - trees, mistletoe, holly, any festive greenery works - and we're playing along with Tracey McNeely's annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I used Winnie & Walter's Framed, In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies and Sentimental: Winter to create these non-traditional holiday tags.
I absolutely love the ribbon banner image from the Framed stamp set. It's big enough to be a tag so I decided to use it as the tag. I cut a second, unstamped shape, scored it along the left edge and secured it to the back of the stamped banners.
While I had the Framed stamp set out, I also stamped and watercoloured the foliage that comes in three sizes and curves in both directions. They're perfect for creating laurels and wreaths. I used Altenew dye inks to watercolour the banner and foliage - Parrot, Olive and Moss.
I also stamped all of the florals from In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies using Altenew inks - Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Grapevine, Maple Yellow and Honey Drizzle. If you would like to see Ashlee's Rosie Posies in action, I used it for the second Two Many Cards video HERE.
To finish, I masked the sentiments from Sentimental: Winter, to stamp them on two lines. Then I assembled the florals and foliage using glue dots and adhered them to the tags. I used a 0.125" hole punch in the corner, looped black hemp cord, and added some sparkling crystals.
