Muse ChristmasVisions Challenge #113 + 25 Days of Christmas Tags

I'm thrilled to be a guest designer for Muse: ChristmasVisions #113! Our theme this week is botanicals - trees, mistletoe, holly, any festive greenery works - and we're playing along with Tracey McNeely's annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I used Winnie & Walter's Framed, In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies and Sentimental: Winter to create these non-traditional holiday tags.

I absolutely love the ribbon banner image from the Framed stamp set. It's big enough to be a tag so I decided to use it as the tag. I cut a second, unstamped shape, scored it along the left edge and secured it to the back of the stamped banners.

While I had the Framed stamp set out, I also stamped and watercoloured the foliage that comes in three sizes and curves in both directions. They're perfect for creating laurels and wreaths. I used Altenew dye inks to watercolour the banner and foliage - Parrot, Olive and Moss.

I also stamped all of the florals from In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies using Altenew inks - Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Grapevine, Maple Yellow and Honey Drizzle. If you would like to see  Ashlee's Rosie Posies in action, I used it for the second Two Many Cards video HERE.

To finish, I masked the sentiments from Sentimental: Winter, to stamp them on two lines. Then I assembled the florals and foliage using glue dots and adhered them to the tags. I used a 0.125" hole punch in the corner, looped black hemp cord, and added some sparkling crystals.

{Muse ChristmasVisions} Challenge #89 + 25 Days of Christmas Tags

I'm thrilled to be a guest designer for Muse: ChristmasVisions #89! Our theme this week is snow and we're playing along with Tracey McNeely's annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I immediately pulled out Paper Smooches' Cool DudesBorders 1 and Gift Tags 2 to create these snowy tags.

I used a blending tool and two distress inks to create the sky, then splattered it with water to create snowflakes. I love using glitter cardstock for snow hills and I used both silver and white here. All of the images were heat embossed and watercoloured with distress inks.

The sentiments are from another Paper Smooches set called Holiday Cheer, which is one of my favourite sentiment sets for the holiday season! To finish, I embellished the tags with May Arts chevron ribbon, Hemptique cord and two sizes of jingle bells.

{Muse ChristmasVisions} Challenge #37 Guest Designer

I'm so excited to be the guest designer for Muse Christmas Visions #37! I'm the biggest procrastinator and I don't tend to make holiday cards until October, at the earliest, so it's very unusual for me to be making a Christmas card at this time of year. ;)

I had purchased a ton of new Hero Arts products right before Christmas but didn't have time to use them so I decided to use two of those sets to create this card. They were so fun to ink up and I hope you are inspired to create a holiday card based on any combination of elements from my card.

Please head over to the Muse Christmas Visions blog for all the details! I look forward to seeing your entries. Thanks so much for stopping by!
