Hi, everyone! I'm thrilled to be joining Joan Bardee and LauraJane as guest designers with Concord & 9th for their October 2020 Release!! I'm a huge fan of Concord & 9th and I love all of their clever and innovative products. Their release are so well-designed that creating with them is quick, fun and easy.
Then I used the large Merry die from the All the Merrys Dies to die cut across the scripted Christmas word on all five panels. I also die cut Merry eight times from white cardstock, and twice from Honeysuckle, Stardust, Oceanside and Eggplant cardstock.
I also die cut Merry from the white panel, above and below the stamped centre so all letters would be stacked in place and I wouldn't have to worry about them being lined up. Then I used liquid glue to stack the white letters four high in the centre, and two high above and below. I placed the scripted coloured pieces in order first, then rotated the colours on the other two words.
I assembled the card by trimming a strip of silver glitter cardstock and Oceanside cardstock for the left side, then attached the panel to the card base. I also die cut silver glitter confetti from the All the Merrys Dies and popped them up with foam tape to embellish the letters.
My second card focuses on the On the Diagonal Turnabout but also incorporates two stamps from the All the Merrys Stamp Set, as well as the confetti dies from the All the Merrys Dies.
This time, instead of using the cardstock to represent the colours, I used the Honeysuckle, Stardust, Oceanside and Eggplant ink cubes to stamp the On the Diagonal Turnabout Stamp on white cardstock. Using a combination of the MISTI stamping tool, the Turnabout Jig and the guide included with the On the Diagonal Turnabout Stamp, this background quick and easy to create.
To create the super sparkly sentiment, I used the solid Merry word and the outline Merry word from the All the Merrys Stamp Set. I stamped the solid Merry word using WOW! Black Twinkle Embossing Glitter. Then I stamped the outline Merry word twice using WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. I did this twice to ensure that the outline was noticeable since the background was bright and busy.
Then I trimmed down the stamped panel to 4" x 5.25" and attached it to the card base. To finish, I die cut confetti from white, Honeysuckle, Stardust, Oceanside, Eggplant and pearl glitter cardstock using the All the Merrys Dies.
I stacked the confetti in three layers with white on the bottom, pearl glitter in the middle and offset the coloured top layer so that the pearl glitter layer acted as a shadow to match the embossed outline of the sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll see you again next Friday. :)
