This is another photo-heavy post but it's worth it. I promise! These two cards feature the Spellbinders February 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month -- Trefoil Florals & Sentiments and it's a beauty. I've also snuck in some gold accents using the Small Die of the Month -- Trefoil Tile & Panel Card Creator (see previous post). These two club kits work perfectly together this month and they often do so it's not surprising that there are two value memberships -- Die Hard and Die & Stamp Addict.
I made two cards using the same four shaped flower stamps that fit perfectly inside the trefoil tile and card creator die from the Small Die of the Month. Both cards feature the same design elements but one card is oriented vertically and the other is horizontal. Which one do you like better?
I stamped the flowers on watercolour cardstock, then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Next, I watercoloured them with distress inks and you can find all those colours listed below. I set those aside to dry and used two of the smaller dies from the Small Die of the Month to die cut the pierced gold accent pieces from matte gold cardstock and gold foil cardstock.
Originally, I had all three accent pieces in gold foil cardstock but the centre piece made it hard to see the sentiment strip so I swapped out the middle one for matte gold cardstock.
The sentiments, also from the February 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month, were stamped with white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on slate gray cardstock, the same colour I used to back the watercoloured elements.
I cut white linen card bases and panels, centred all the elements, attaching them to the cards from the centre out. The gold pieces were adhered directly to the panel with liquid glue and the watercoloured elements were popped up with foam tape, as were the sentiment strips.
