Today's Spellbinders inspiration features the August 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month! This month's kit comes a roll of beautiful Bright Pink Foil and a total of five dies -- four foiling dies and one cutting die for the sentiment. I loved the idea of foiling the two bouquets together and wanted that to be the focus of the card. I cut strips of Bazzill heavyweight cardstock in different widths -- 1/4" in Pale Rose, 1/2" in Cotton Candy, 3/4" in Candy Hearts and 1" in Lollipop. I covered the remaining portion with Neenah heavyweight and foiled the panel using the Bright Pink Foil included in this month's kit.
After foiling, I trimmed the panel down to 4" x 5.25" and created a card base from white linen cardstock. I cut a strip of black and white patterned paper and secured it to the card base, then attached the foiled panel on top.
I used the foiling sentiment and hexagon with Silver Foil on black foil cardstock and the result is incredible! I couldn't stop admiring it! In fact, I die cut several of these sentiments using various colours of cardstock and different foil colours before deciding on this version.
I die cut the hexagon using the coordinating die, also included in the August 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, and popped it up on the panel with foam tape. To finish, I added three black enamel dots to balance out the black elements on the card.
