Catherine Pooler | 5-Year Ink-Aversary Promo + Giveaway + Sale

Happy weekend, crafty friends! This post includes a set of cards using two of my favourite sets and one of my favourite colour combos, as well as news about Catherine Pooler's upcoming Ink-Aversary Sale from November 1st to 2nd!!

Also on November 1st at noon EST on Catherine Pooler's YouTube channel, there will be information on how we're celebrating with a chance to win an entire year of new Catherine Pooler ink releases! Wouldn't that be a dream?

I made a set of adorable, flat and easy-to-mail cards featuring Lovely Birdies and Hey Pumpkin, which are two of my favourite sets. Lovely Birdies was originally a Club Sursee set that was later widely-released, much to my delight. You can see another card I made using it HERE.

Hey Pumpkin was released last year and it was so popular that it sold out very quickly and restocked at least twice. I love it because pumpkins are awesome and they can be combined with so many things, including coffee and animals. The Jack-o-Lantern mini add-on, also included in the Hey Pumpkin Bundle, allows you to customize it for Halloween.

The colour combination shown on these cards is inspired by the Grandma's Attic Slimline Patterned Paper, of which three patterns are used on fold side of these cards.

I love that I could use a patterned paper pack geared toward the holidays/Christmas and a stamp set geared towards Halloween and mix both of these with Lovely Birdies and a sentiment from Give Thanks Sentiments to make cards for three different occasions.

I rotated the three brightest colours - Polished, Clay Mask and Hot Tub - for the pumpkins and the bird on each card to provide variation.

The branches, leaves and grass using Green TeaEucalyptus and Spruce all stayed the same, as did the bird outline and pumpkin stems using Over Coffee and Icing on the Cake.

I love making multiple, same-but-different cards all at once. The easiest way to do this is pick a colour combo based on a patterned paper pack or an inspiration photo, whether it be a card, book cover, etc., then stamp several of each image and decide on a layout. Making all the cards the same is great but rotating the elements and switching up the sentiments makes for a fun, versatile set, perfect for giving individually or as a set!

Click HERE or on the banner below on November 1st and 2nd to get 15% off Full-Size Ink Pads and Refills, excluding the new 6 Luxe Inks.
